An Energy Research Leader and a Coal Community

We are located on the edge of the picturesque San Rafael Swell in Emery County, Utah. We are a coal community determined to remain a national leader in energy technology, energy generation, and energy workforce. The Utah San Rafael Energy Lab leverages strong local leadership, a supportive community, unique technology assets, and a skilled workforce in its mission to pioneer cutting-edge energy technologies and forge the future of energy. Our facility offers space, equipment, and staff who can partner with your organization to write competitive research grants, conduct critical development work, and solve the crucial energy and sustainability challenges facing the world.
